Product Overview
95 Points, "Cellar Selection" - Wine Enthusiast
"From the historic site where Stag's Leap first began, this is nearly 100% varietal, with just 1.5% Cabernet Franc. It delivers a lifted, floral character dipped in tangy red fruit. The tannins are pillowy and supple, with a structure will last. Enjoy from 2027–2037." -VB, 12/31/20
(92-94) Points - Wine Advocate
"A barrel sample of 98.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1.5% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Fay Vineyard is very deep purple-black colored with bold black fruit notions of blackberries, black plums and warm black currants plus hints of camphor, cedar chest and charcoal with a waft of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied with a firm, grainy frame and just enough freshness, it has a good core of fruit with plenty of savory accents on the finish." -10/31/19
92 Points - Wine Spectator
"Nicely vivid, with a racy beam of cassis and blackberry purees running through, with light alder, bay, mineral and iron notes along the edges. Stays very focused through the streamlined finish. Elegant, especially in this vintage. Drink now through 2032. 3,139 cases made." -JM, 11/15/20
