Product Overview
Winery Notes:
"The farm voice of a distinct parcel of land: Rippon. On the western board of Roy’s Bay, Lake Wanaka, Rippon’s north-facing escarpment forms the meeting point of terminal moraines and coarse gravels, all based in schist, on which some of the region’s earliest vines were planted. Rippon is a Wine issued from all of the fully developed Pinot Noir vines growing in this land."
92 Points - Vinous
"The Rippon's 2018 Pinot Noir is delightfully textured, offering the wine equivalent of a fluffy cloud followed up with a rain of acidity on the fresh finish. The finely pixelated tannins provide a lattice-like sensation. While deftly handled, as you'd expect from Rippon, it doesn't quite push on on the finish, and the riper spectrum of black cherry and plum fruit is an indicator of the warmer, riper style in 2018." -RG, Jan/2022
