"Here's a fun surprise from Gaiole in Chianti. The organic Monterotondo 2019 Chianti Classico Vigna Vaggiolata is a traditional blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Malvasia Nera. Some 15,000 bottles were made, and I can't see how you can beat this amazing low price. From a 3.5-hectare vineyard with sandstone soils, this wine offers simple fruit and sweet cherry flavors delivered over an elegant, lean-bodied mouthfeel.
