Product Overview
Winery's Notes:
"The Thörnicher Ritsch was one of the most respected vineyards on the Moselle until after the Second World War. The name Ritsch is derived from the location's brittle gray slate; rocks keep slipping into the valley. Due to the brittle rocks, land consolidation and path construction cannot be carried out in the Ritsch; the paths would slip in the steep terrain. The canes grow on the slope into small terraces. The vineyard is also in the 1868 classification and classified as 1st location by Pigott and Johnson.
Ritsch is characterized by enormous fruit aromas with a mineral structure."
