Product Overview
Established in 1798, Tobermory Distillery (initially known as Ledaig Distillery), is the only distillery on the Isle of Mull and is one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. It is unique because it produces two different, but equally alluring, single malts: the robust, smoky Ledaig and the fruity, unpeated Tobermory.
This new core expression Tobermory was launched in 2019 to celebrate the reopening of Tobermory Distillery after two years of remodeling. The whisky was matured principally in bourbon barrels, with a small proportion being finished in virgin oak. The nose brings honeycomb, vanilla fudge, orange blossom, and cinnamon. This is a full-bodied scotch, with cloves on the palate that are balanced perfectly with apricots and malt. The finish has licorice, spicy dark berries, and more cloves in the long and medium bodied finish.
