Winery's Notes:
"This wine is a strong representation of the growing vintage. Due to the heatwaves, we made a stylistic decision to pick everything earlier to retain acid and the Fableist signature freshness. This wine was fermented in tank and aged 100% in barrel. We utilized majority American oak, 10% of which were new oak barrels.
Vibrant black currant, cedar and vanilla hit your tongue, as you're warmed by the comforts of mint and eucalyptus. A strong finish wraps you in a fond embrace.
Fable: The Ant and the Cicada
One autumn day, the bustling ants were preparing their stores for the winter. They stopped to ask a cicada why he was playing music instead of planning for the season. “Life is to be enjoyed!” the cicada said. But when winter dawned, the ants were warm and well-fed. Seeing the starving cicada, they took pity on him and welcomed him to a feast. Life is about finding a healthy balance between work and play. We consider ourselves to be the ants in this story, always working ahead and planning for any possible difficult seasons ahead."
