"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Pine Mountain Vineyards is rich, powerful and super-concentrated, with plenty of dark cherry, mocha, chocolate, plum and spice. There is good aromatic intensity, but it is the wine's palate weight and richness that stand out above all else. Proprietor Hien Nguyen and winemaker Thomas Brown are crafting wines of distinction from this high-altitude vineyard in Mendocino County. Even so, I have to think that a little more site specificity might emerge if the wine were less pushed in style. There is clearly so much potential here." -AG, Jan/2017
