Product Overview
93 Points - Wine Advocate
"The 1982 Colheita Tawny Port has 156 grams per liter of residual sugar and was bottled with a long cork in 2017. It comes in at 21.6% alcohol. Statistically, this seems pretty much unchanged since the 2016 bottling, previously reviewed, which means that bottling and this one are the final iterations of this wine—I'm told there will be no further bottlings. The alcohol seems a little more under control, granted that both are not here together. Old and complex on the nose, it has plenty of power and energy. That leads to a big finish. To be sure, it is not the freshest Colheita ever—the fruit does show its age. At the moment, though, it is delectable and intriguing. Its energy and complexity are both impressive. The price is pretty nice for the age too." -MS, 6/28/19
