Delamotte Brut, sister Champagne to legendary Salon, is a Champagne of subtle power, appealing freshness, soft curves and a precise, fresh fruit finish. This is a dry and extremely attractive Champagne, balanced and elegant. Each grape plays a part, as Chardonnay sets the wine in place, its foundation and roots. Pinot Noir helps give the wine more breadth and depth. A small portion of Pinot Meunier brings its aromatic charm to produce a pure and intense Brut.
Varietal Composition: 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier

"This mineral-driven version offers a smoky overtone to the flavors of poached pear and Meyer lemon zest, with hints of toasted brioche and almond. Subtle, offering a finely detailed bead and a spiced finish. Drink now through 2022." -AN, 11/15/17

"The Delamotte NV Brut blends approximately 55% Chardonnay with 35% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier. It is clear, round and spicy on the predominantly fruity and vinous nose with its delicate chalk and hazelnut flavors. On the palate this is a lithe, finessed, fresh and elegant Brut with good structure and a pure, salty-mineral and cleansing finish. The mousse is highly delicate, the whole performance almost filigreed yet well structured. This is a delicious Brut. My sample is based on the 2013 vintage that was disgorged in July 2016 with a dosage of eight grams per liter." -SR, Nov 2017
