Vellichor, n-The scent of second hand bookshops.
A limited-edition blended Scotch whisky from creative blender Compass Box, Vellichor is a whisky inspired by stories, with its name meaning the smell and wistfulness of a second-hand bookstore. Bottled in January 2022 from a selection of bourbon barrels, sherry butts, recharred hogsheads and a refill hogshead, creating aromas of heathery honey, old leather-bound books and dusty pages that fill the nose. The palate offers notes of smouldering heather, vanilla, dried fruit, caramel and beeswax that linger in the finish- Whiskey Exchange
