Product Overview
94 Points - Wine Advocate: "Notes of licorice, blackberry and boysenberry fruit intermixed with some charcoal, burning embers and floral notes all jump from the glass of this rich, soft, succulent wine, which possesses terrific intensity and a hedonistic personality. It is not going to be a long-ager by 2010 standards, but for consumption over the next 10-15 years, it delivers tremendous appeal.
I love this wine, which comes from a very tiny 10-acre vineyard situated to the east of St. Emilion, not terribly far from Fleur Cardinale, Valandraud and Rol Valentin. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, made under the consultancy work of Michel Rolland, this is another big, rather juicy and opulent style of St. Emilion that tips the scales at 15.5% natural alcohol."
