"The Bertinga 2017 Sassi Chiusi is 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot, with an abundant 33,000 bottles produced. The wine shows plumpness and medium concentration, and although the hot-vintage aromas are a bit monotone, you do get black cherry, plum, spice and basic tobacco. This wine sees fruit sourced from across the estate's three vineyard parcels. The grapes go through a combination of cement, stainless steel and tonneaux." -ML, 2/9/23
