Winery's Notes
"This Syrah is sourced entirely from Stoney Vine vineyard which is in the 'The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater' AVA of the Walla Walla Valley. Planted over the old riverbed of the Walla Walla river this vineyard produces some of the most unique and distinguishable Syrah in our portfolio. Imagine a plethora of earthy and meaty flavors all wrapped together with a single dark berry smashed in and you’ll start to understand. The 2018 Vintage was our 8th from this vineyard. This wine was fermented 75% whole cluster with native yeasts. Aged in combination of 500lt puncheons and neutral French oak barrels."

"The aromas leap out of the glass, with notes of ember, firepit, potpourri, orange peel, Kalamata olive and medicine. The palate is a savory tour de force while remaining limber, like many Rhônes from the vintage. It has a lot of hang time on the olive and potpourri-filled finish, kicking it up a notch. Give it some additional time in the bottle or a short decant." -SS, 7/1/2021
