"The 2012 Comtes de Champagne Rosé is s total stunner. What a knockout! It is easily one of the finest Comtes Rosés I have tasted in recent years. Rich and enveloping, with tremendous depth, the 2012 has it all. Bright red-toned fruit, blood orange, white pepper, mint and slate infuse the palate with striking depth and nuance. The 2012 finishes with a classic sense of austerity. I admire its tension and overall resonance. The 2012 is a heady, exotic Champagne. I would be thrilled to own it. The blend is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, with 14% still red Pinot. Dosage is 9 grams per liter." -AG, Mar/2024

"The 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne is showing beautifully out of the gates, offering up demonstrative aromas of sweet golden orchard fruit, buttery croissants, peach and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and enveloping, it's a rich, textural, vinous Comtes somewhat reminiscent of the brilliant 2002. If it gains in tension and cut (as the 2002 did and as I suspect the 2012 will) with more time on cork, it will make this initial rating seem conservative." -WK, 10/6/22
