Product Overview

The Bergstrom 2016 Cumberland Reserve Pinot Noir blends the finest barrels from the five estate-farmed biodynamic properties which highlight the fresh fruit character, the sweet spices, and the warm earthiness that Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs are famous for. It begins with bright, crunchy fresh fruit, earthy intensity, a reductive flintiness, and mushroom-laden aromatics with dried herbs, flowers, meat, and pipe tobacco. It has succulent acidty and fine tannins, and pairs nicely with mushrooms, game, cheeses, truffles, and rich sauces.

Varietal Composition: 100 percent Pinot Noir
Appellation: Willamette Valley AVA
Aging: 12 months in French oak, 10 percent new

91 Points - Wine Spectator
"Floral and expressive raspberry and violet aromas open to polished and delicately layered pomegranate, anise and spice flavors that finish with refined tannins. Drink now through 2023. 5,000 cases made." -TF, 10/31/18

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"Cranberry and raspberry hold down the center of this blend, which serves as the entry point to the winery's extensive single vineyard portfolio. Citrus and herb flavors are well integrated, with just a hint of stem in the finishing tannins." -PG, 12/1/18
