Product Overview

The 2016 CrossBarn Sonoma Coast Pinot uses winemaking techniques that include 7 percent whole cluster and native yeast fermentation. Fruit aromas of wild red raspberries, strawberries, and pomegranate are balanced with fresh herbs of thyme and sage, plus forest floor and hibiscus tea. It's fresh and juicy on the palate with red cherries, raspberries, and black tea spice. Polished tannins lead to a long savory finish.

Varietal Composition: 100 percent Pinot Noir
Appellation: Sonoma Coast AVA
Aging: 10 months sur lie in oak barrels, 10 percent new

91 Points - Wine Advocate
"Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir offers lovely baked raspberries, black cherries and mulberries notes with touches of chocolate box, earth, menthol and dried herbs with a waft of violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with red and black berries flavors plus earthy/herbal undertones and a plush frame, finishing with great freshness. 13,940 cases were made." -LPB, 6/29/18
