Product Overview
Plymouth Sloe Gin is made with a recipe dating back to 1883. Sloe berries--a type of wild plum from a blackthorn tree--are macerated with still-strength Plymouth Gin for around four months. It is bottled at 26% ABV.
Sloe Gin has a rich red color, which is the result of steeping the finest sloe berries in high strength Plymouth Gin and soft Dartmoor water for a smooth liqueur taste with a beautiful balance between sweet and bitter fruit flavors. Plymouth Gin has a great depth of flavor, with a wonderfully fresh juniper, lemony bite with deeper earthy notes, plus a hint of almonds from the stone of the fruit. Plymouth has a slight sweetness with extraordinary concentration and complexity: no single botanical dominates the overall flavor. The finish is long and dry.
