The 2017 Maison de la Chapelle Irancy "Les Beaux Monts" is a single-climat Pinot Noir from a lesser known appellation in Burgundy, immediately southwest of Chablis. Les Beaux Monts faces south on a very steep slope and is made up of clay and limestone. It has a very sunny exposure. The wine from here reveals notes of luscious cherries, violets, and peony. Combined with gentle tannins, it expresses suaveness and gourmandise.

90+ Points - Wine Advocate
"The 2017 Irancy Les Beaux Monts is a touch more high-toned, revealing attractive aromas of red cherry and chocolate, as well as some subtly balsamic top notes that I suspect will integrate with time. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, with an ample and enveloping attack, good depth at the core and a rich and dramatic profile by the standards of the appellation." -WK, 8/30/19
