Lexington Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is created by taking the brewery's Kentucky Irish Red Ale and aging for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky's finest distilleries. The beer is brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel 40, Aromatic Malt, Carapils, and Malted Wheat, and hopped with Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Subtle, yet familiar, flavors of vanilla, caramel, toffee, and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. 8.2% ABV, 19 IBUs.
