Product Overview
Jura '1984' Limited Edition 30 Year Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Jura 1984 Limited Edition Scotch Whisky is an homage to the modern George Orwell classic, which was written on the Isle of Jura back in 1946. The novel is a dystopian tale of a totalitarian society that seeks to maintain control of the population through rabid censorship.
Each bottle is individually numbered out of the 1,984 bottles produced, and comes in a nice handled box with a "censored" label that says, "In 1984, nothing is what it seems. The truth is a rare privilege that few of us savour."
Tasting notes from distiller.com:
"Rich dried fruits appear on the nose with a bit of that sherry-funk quality that is a bit oxidized and smoky. The whisky is considerably creamy, like you can almost cut it with a knife. Malty, chocolaty, and vanilla notes are on the palate and the finish is on the woody and chewy side." 94 Points - Stephanie Moreno
