The 2018 Jules Taylor Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc is a botrytis-affected dessert wine made from grapes left on the vine to over-ripen and produce intensely sweet juice. It's lustrous gold in color and has outstanding aromas of passion fruit, lychee, and caramelized fig with notes of honey and a touch of white floral fragrance. The palate is decadently sweet with concentrated flavors of ripe passion fruit, lychee, and apricot marmalade with a hint of grapefruit pith. A soft line of acidity from its Sauvignon Blanc heritage cuts through the sweetness to balance the rich flavors to perfection. Pair this luscious wine with a cheese platter garnished with caramelized figs and honey-toasted nuts.
Varietal Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

"This honey-colored dessert wine still retains much of its varietal character, just in an intensely concentrated guise. Flavors like dried pineapple and guava, melted butter on brioche and dried green herbs are lifted by Marlborough's typical zing of elevated acidity, all wearing a sweet, but not overly so, cloak." -CP, 5/1/20
