93 Points - Vinous
"Brilliant red. Vibrant red berry, floral and succulent herb scents pick up a spicy nuance with air. Shows impressive depth of flavor but no excess weight on the palate, which features appealingly sweet raspberry, cherry and rose pastille flavors and an exotic, refreshingly bitter jolt of blood orange. Finishes very long and lively, with resonating spice and floral character and smooth tannins that play nice with the wine's juicy fruit. 75% whole clusters." -JR, Aug/2020

93 Points - Wine Advocate
" "This is the first time we've worked with Temperance Hill vineyard," says Marcus Goodfellow. "There are tons of different aspects, lots of rootstocks, various vine ages and trellising systems plus lots of unknown clones in the mix. These vines were planted in 1994." Pale to medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill has a lovely, broody nose of crushed blackberries, smoked meats, black cherries, tangerine peel, dried roses, amaro and dusty earth—lots of blossoming layers! It’s light to medium-bodied with a silky texture and nuanced flavor layers, grainy and fresh with a long, nuanced finish." -EB, 4/23/20
