The 2015 GoGi Southpaw Pinot Noir, estate grown and vinified by Ampelos Cellars in the Sta. Rita Hills region of Santa Barbara, is a cool-climate Pinot Noir that shows great flavor concentration without over-ripeness. It's smooth on entry, showing flavors of ripe pomegranate, bright cranberry, and a hint of dried fig. Seamless integration of dark fruit, plush tannins, and minerality are at play as the wine finishes with lively notes of Moroccan spices, sticky cherry tobacco, and lingering licks of black raspberry. Drink now or cellar for many years to come.
