Product Overview

The 2017 Domaine de Beaurenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a rare product because white wines only make up 7% of the appellation's output. With its smooth, fresh texture, its crisp, juicy fruit, and its saline finish, it is like a walk in a Provençal garden.

Varietal Composition: 30% Clairette, 20% Grenache Blanc, 25% Bourboulenc, 22% Roussane, 3% (Picpoul and Picardan)
Appellation: Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC
Aging: 4-6 months in vats, small foudres, and oak barrels
Farming Practices: Biodynamic, certified organic by ECOCERT

94 Points - Wine Spectator
"Inviting, with a whiff of macadamia nut out front, followed by heather, yellow apple, anise and Cavaillon melon flavors. A light kiss of brioche on the finish is deftly done. Clairette, Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Grenache Blanc. Drink now through 2022. 900 cases made, 200 cases imported." -JM, 11/15/18

91 Points - Vinous
"Light yellow. Ripe peach, yellow plum, honey, white flowers and a hint of toasty lees on the deeply perfumed, mineral-accented nose. Plush orchard and pit fruit and toasted grain flavors show very good depth, while a chalky mineral edge adds lift and focus. Becomes livelier with air and finishes gently sweet and quite long, displaying building spiciness and a touch of bitter lemon pith." -JR, Oct/2018

90 Points - Wine Advocate
"A blend of 30% Clairette, 25% Bourboulenc, 22% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 2% Picpoul Blanc and 1% Picardan, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a medium to full-bodied wine with plenty of floral notes up front, pear and melon on the mid-palate and lime and anise on the finish. It's a solid offering that won't disappoint, provided you drink it in its first few years." -JC, 8/31/18
