91 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"At 380 acres, this is one of the largest Médoc estates just the wrong side of the tracks from Pauillac. This generously structured wine is full of juicy black-currant flavors that come from the 60% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. It is likely to develop relatively quickly and will certainly be ready from 2021." -RV, 4/1/19
89 Points - Vinous
"The 2016 Larose-Trintaudon has a well-defined bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, cedar and pencil box aromas, not quite as intense as the best Haut-Médoc but certainly translating the quality of the growing season. The palate is well balanced with supple tannin, rounded and almost velvety in texture, plush and pure with ample red cherries and wild strawberry on the finish. This is a very approachable, early-drinking Cru Bourgeois but there is class here and the substance to suggest it will age well. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London." -NM, Oct/2018
