The 2013 Can Blau Mas de Can Blau is a dark cherry red color with garnet tones. The nose expresses immense aromatic intensity with the presence of ripe red fruit combined with roasted tones. The wine is full bodied and enveloping on the palate and shows very good acidity and round tannins. Long and persistent finish. Drink now or hold for up to 5 – 6 years.

"(fermented in small stainless steel tanks and aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels) Inky ruby. Intensely perfumed aromas of ripe cherry, black currant, vanilla and candied licorice are complemented by suave incense and mineral nuances. Stains the palate with sweet black and blue fruit, spicecake and floral pastille flavors that tighten up slowly on the back half. Seamless in texture and impressively concentrated; smooth tannins lend shape to a strikingly long, mineral-driven finish. This highly impressive Montsant would stand up well in a tasting of serious Priorats." -JR, Jan/2017

"This generous red delivers ripe fruit and toasty oak flavors. Boysenberry and currant notes mingle with cocoa and cardamom details, set in a thick texture supported by well-integrated tannins and balsamic acidity. A big, modern style. Drink now through 2020. 900 cases made." -TM, 10/15/16
