Product Overview
The 2016 Ampelos Lambda Pinot Noir, sourced entirely from the estate vineyard (the first in the US to be formally certified organic, sustainable, and biodynamic), is a blend of five different clones and is 100% natural except for the use of French oak barrels in the maturation process. This deep, dark garnet red wine begins with aromas of raspberry, boysenberry, and rich blueberry cola and demonstrates a truly elegant, Burgundian nose. On the palate, it displays bold notes of cherry cola, spice, and smooth minerality, finishing with dark cherry and Mediterranean spice.

91 Points - Wine Spectator
"Notes of hot stone accent the toothsome cherry tart and plum compote flavors, backed by medium-grained tannins and crunchy acidity. The minerally finish features plenty of cigar box details, complemented by a creamy texture. Drink now through 2024. 700 cases made." -KM, 5/31/20
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"Vibrant in strawberry, baking spice and earth, this estate-grown wine is light, crisp and acid-driven, made in a style of delicacy and elegance. Its flavors work well within the framework of firm, nuanced tannin and integrated oak." -VB, 5/81/20
